Blast Notice

I just got this email a few minutes ago. I'm sooooo excited! I can't wait to see stuff blow up!

                                            NOTICE OF INTENT TO BLAST

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN BY THE RPSC LEAD EXPLOSIVE HANDLER OF PLANNED BLASTING OPERATIONS AS FOLLOWS:

DATE: 11/12/11

TIME (ESTIMATED):  15:30 hours

LOCATION:  Gasoline Alley above Fleet Operation’s pad # 4

AFFECTED BUILDINGS/AREAS: Building #174 (Flammable Storage) Building #185 (Waste Management)

PURPOSE OF BLAST:  Lowering the grade of the road, and trenching for the NPOESS project.

REQUESTED BY:  Fleet Operations

NOTE: At the time of blasting procedures, all the roads as well as the foot approach areas will be closed and guarded 15 minutes prior to detonation. The roads and foot approach areas will be reopen after the all clear is giving by the Lead Explosive Handler to the Fire Dispatch Center.

Radio Communications: On channel one the Lead Explosive handler will give a One hour notice followed by a 30 minute, 15 minute and a five minute to the Fire Dispatch center. After it has been determined the area is clear the Lead Explosive Handler will give a 10 second countdown prior to the detonation. After the detonation and the post inspection of the Blast area the Lead Explosive Handler will give the ALL CLEAR on channel One.

Road Closures: The road from both ends of gasoline alley will be closed for the entire time of the project.
